Sim-Consec, Part 2, Santa Ana, CA:

I just spent the most rewarding 3 hours I have ever spent on a workshop. Workshops tend to be a rehash of everything I’ve learned in over 20 years in the interpreting field. I really don’t always take home something new and exciting. Today was a special day full of discovery, wonder, challenge and excitement. Thank you, Esther Navarro-Hall for being there for our group of interpreters willing to learn the Sim-Consec™ technique!

An Introduction to Sim-Consec, Santa Ana, CA:

I enjoyed the class tremendously. The Sim-consec method is the future of consecutive interpreting! It was such a privilege to learn about it from Esther Navarro-Hall, a pioneer in the US who has dedicated countless hours in preparation so that she can speak from experience and teach the rest of us who are willing to elevate our profession to the next level.

First of all a big “Thank You” for taking the time to journey “down south” to give the workshop.  Not only was it very informative, but it was very enjoyable as well, with the attendees but especially the instructor being so pleasant to be around with.

The sim-consec technique, the way I see it, provides more accuracy and also allows the speaker to speak for a longer period of time without the interpreter having to ask him/her to pause and give the interpreter time to interpret.
