About the Trainer


About the trainer – Esther M. Navarro-Hall is originally from Chihuahua, México. She is a Freelance Interpreter, Trainer, and Consultant for various clients and organizations and has interpreted in the Conference, Court, Medical and Community specialties for 31 years.

Training experience – Ms. Navarro-Hall is an Adjunct Professor at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS), where she has taught Conference Interpreting (EN>ES, FR>ES), Court Interpreting (EN<>ES) and Community Interpreting (EN<>ES) intermittently since 1987.

Ms. Navarro-Hall provides training for interpreters and interpreter trainers in the U.S. and abroad. She is a pioneer in online training, practical technologies and social media for interpreters. She is also the creator of the Sim-Consec™ method (an innovative combination of two interpreting skills plus various digital technologies), and has taught it to hundreds of interpreters around the world.

Education – M.A. in Conference Interpretation (A: Spanish, B: English, C: French); B.A. in French and German Literature.

Certifications – Ms. Navarro-Hall is a Federally-certified Court Interpreter and a State-certified Court and Medical Interpreter (CA). In addition, she has interpreted for the U.S. State Department and is an ATA-certified EN>ES Translator.

Volunteer work – Chair, National Association of Judiciary Interpreters & Translators (NAJIT); Director, Critical Link International (CLI).

Associations – Ms. Navarro-Hall is a proud member of the following associations (in alphabetical order): American Translators Association (ATA), California Healthcare Interpreters Association (CHIA), Critical Link International (CLI), Delaware Valley Translators Association (DVTA), International Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (IAPTI), National Association of Judiciary Interpreters & Translators (NAJIT), National Council on Interpreting in Healthcare (NCIHC).
